Advanced musical ability in the programme subject which must be demonstrated in the audition exam
Foreign applicants who do not have a German university entry permission must possess sufficient knowledge of the German language. The following requirements must both be met in order to provide proof:
Presentation of a language certificate of level B 2.2 according to the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The Language certificates must be submitted during enrolment at the latest.
In the music theory examination, applicants must prove that they have sufficient programme-related German language skills for communication and study.
On muvac you can upload video and audio recordings in the course of your application at the HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin.
Based on the uploades audio/video recordings the pre-selection is made subsequent to the application period.
Requirements Recordings
The recordings must not be older than 1 year.
The applicants must always be fully visible in the picture, especially hands and feet should be clearly visible.
All pieces must be performed from memory.
Sound and image processing is not permitted.

a baroque polyphonic work (e.g. J. S. Bach Preludes and Fugues from ¡°The Well-Tempered Clavier¡±)
a movement of a classical sonata
a virtuosic ¨¦tude
Note that for requirements that specify a complete piece or work, all movements must be prepared and recorded.

one work of the 20th or 21st century

All works must be performed from memory.
RKM-recognized German music school and are applying to transfer to HFM are exempt from taking the exams in composition and ear training if they are able to provide a matriculation certificate/certificate of enrolment.
Participation in Junior Scholars ends at the age of 18, unless he or she has not completed their schooling. If this is the case, participation will end in the semester that he or she completes schooling.
