Masterclass piano chamber music with Prof. Dr. Péter Nagy

The masterclass led by Prof. Dr. Péter Nagy focuses on sonatas for piano and cello, violin or viola, as well as selected chamber music works by Beethoven and Brahms from the pianist's perspective.

Eisler Sinfonietta

With Krása, Ullmann, Koffler, Mahler, and Schoenberg, we dedicate this evening to five composers of Jewish origin. Their works were subjected to antisemitic defamation even before 1933, banned in the Third Reich, and some of them are still rarely performed today.

Masterclass chamber music with Prof. Cibrán Sierra Vázquez

The Spanish violinist Cibrán Sierra Vázquez founded his string quartet Cuarteto Quiroga in 2003. This masterclass marks his first visit to the Eisler School of Music, where he will also give a lecture on "Score reading – Building an interpretation" (in English).

Berliner Lautsprecherorchester

The students of KLANGZEITORT, the joint institute for New Music of the UdK Berlin and HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin, regularly compose for the Berliner Lautsprecherorchester. During this concert, the loudspeakers themselves become independent performers, generating sound.

Eisler Stars – Hanseong Yun and Qingzhu Weng

In the Eisler Stars series with the Konzerthaus Berlin, we present artistic excellence at the highest level. As part of their Konzertexamen postgraduate courses of study, South Korean bass-baritone Hanseong Yun and Chinese violinist Qingzhu Weng will perform there this semester.

Supernova Award for Quartet Effel with David Patyra

Saxophonist David Patyra, who studies with Xavier Larsson Paez, won first prize at the 2026 Supernova Competition in Belgium with his saxophone Quartet Effel.

We mourn the loss of Prof. Martin Bruns

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of our former voice professor and vice-rector Martin Bruns, who passed away far too early at the age of only 65 after a serious illness.
